Restoring what makes us human

Today, the most
pressing work
is human work.

We work with leaders and organizations at the intersection of human capacity and systemic change.

The work is human.
The results are real.

Organizations don't struggle because of strategy gaps. They struggle because the humans inside them are being stretched past what's sustainable — and now, with AI reshaping how work gets done, that pressure is accelerating. We work at that intersection: helping leaders build the conditions where people and technology can both perform, for the long haul.

01
Leadership Advisory
One-to-one advisory for senior leaders navigating complexity, transition, and the pressure of building something that actually matters.
02
Leadership Immersions
Experiential sessions that develop leaders as a system — drawing on somatic practice, nature-based intelligence, and the four human capacities no AI can replace.
03
Systems & Organization Strategy
Living systems thinking applied to how organizations are designed, how they decide, and how they adapt when the old model stops working.
04
The AI–Human Interface
Helping leaders design the human-AI relationship intentionally — so technology amplifies human capacity rather than eroding it.

The Shift Approach

Four scales.
One system.

Most change efforts fail not because the strategy is wrong — but because the human and organizational conditions to execute it were never built.

We work across four interconnected scales — individual, team, organization, and network. They're nested. You can't fix the system without addressing the people inside it. And you can't develop the people without looking at the system they're operating in.

01
The Individual Leader
A leader running on depleted capacity can't build anything that lasts. We work with individuals to restore clarity, presence, and the distinctly human capacities that high-pressure environments erode.
02
The Team
Teams are systems, not collections of individuals. Nature-based and somatic approaches restore the collective capacity — calm, connection, and the kind of shared intelligence that no AI can simulate.
03
The Organization
Structure, culture, process, and incentives either enable or undermine everything else. We apply living systems thinking to help organizations move from fragmentation to flow.
04
The Network
For NGOs and cross-sector initiatives coordinating change across organizations. Designing the shared purpose, decision-making, and adaptive capacity that makes networks actually function.

How much capacity
do you actually
have right now?

As AI absorbs more analytical work, four distinctly human capacities determine how well you lead. In 12 questions and 4 minutes, this assessment reveals where yours stand — and where the gaps may be quietly costing you.

The Human Operating System Framework
Presence
Real-time situational awareness — catching what's unsaid, responding to what's actually happening.
Embodiment
Regulated resilience under pressure — decisions made from groundedness, not anxiety.
Imagination
Non-linear idea creation — generating genuinely new thinking, not just optimizing existing patterns.
Collective Intelligence
Systemic synergy — creating conditions where the whole group thinks better than any individual.

Andrea P. Moore

Meet
Andrea.

Andrea Moore spent nearly two decades at the intersection of strategy and sustainability working inside and consulting for some of the world's most complex organizations. She left convinced of one thing: the biggest barrier to change isn't strategy. It's human capacity.

She founded The Shift as a movement to work differently. With senior leaders and founders who are navigating genuine complexity — AI disruption, organizational breakdown, the pressure of trying to build something that actually matters — and who are ready to start with themselves.

The work is rigorous. The approach is human. The goal is leaders who can think clearly, decide well, and build organizations that don't burn people out in the process.
